How to connect to web disk with no SSL

If you use Windows Vista, Windows 7,8,10 to access Web Disk over an unencrypted connection, cPanel requires that you enable Digest Authentication. If you have a signed SSL certificate for your domain, Digest Authentication is unnecessary.

To enable Digest Authentication:

  1. Click Enable Digest Authentication. A confirmation dialog box will appear.
  2. Click OK.

To disable Digest Authentication:

  1. Click Disable Digest Authentication. A confirmation dialog box will appear.
  2. Click OK.
